Hi, I have a Canon PowerShot A540. Is it SDHC compatible?

Hi, I have the Canon PowerShot A540 camera. WalMart had a g8 sale on film cards, but I now see that on the packaging, it says "This card is compatible with SDHC devices only". Is my camera SDHC compatible??? Thanks!!

It is listed as such, but Canon's direct information says the max capacity is 2gb cards. So the info is kind of contradictory. To be safe I'd avoid the 8gb card anyhow, since if it errors out, you lose EVERYTHING, whereas with a series of smaller cards, you have more insurance!

I just tried a 4MB card and get a memory card error message. Looks safe to say the 2MB limit is all this camera can take.

Me too... I just loaded it with 4GB SDHC, it can't read it. looks like 2GB is really the limit.
