Try resetting the camera, and downloading any more firmware available at the Canon site (though I don't think its the firmware). It could just be an internal problem with the camera, that tends to happen from time to time. I'd try resetting it first, and if that doesn't work, contact Canon and they should repair the camera at no cost to you.
