How to delete pictures on the Canon A590 IS from the PC?

Lets say I have some pictures I want to keep on the camera and some I want to delete. That means I won't be using the Delete All option. While I understand how to manually delete the photos one by one using the controls on the camera, I'm curious to know if there is a method to delete individual photos on the camera from the PC (running XP Pro) while the camera is connected? I'm guessing that if I were to pop out the 4gb 133x Lexar SDHC card and use a reader (which I don't own, yet) I could browse the card contents through Windows Explorer and that's sort of what I was curious to know if could happen through the PC with the camera. Thanks for any insight, I just received the camera the other day and love it as my first digital camera.

That's actually the best way to go it, Wilson. Kudos to your insight. The PC will read the card as a drive and you can simply highlight and hit the delete key. Deleting using your PC will also keep that card healthier than if you deleted them using your camera.

Thanks James! I'll be getting a card reader sometime soon, perfect Christmas gift to self. ;-) And thanks for the tip about it keeping the card in better shape overall health wise than how I was doing it.
