Do they make a Canon (for under $200) camera that uses a rechargeable battery pack?

I have an "old-timey" Canon PowerShot S410 Digital ELPH that comes with a rechargeable battery pack. I just pop the battery out of the camera, put it in the "recharger" and plug it into an outlet. I am spoiled with not having to purchase batteries.

Now, I'm wanting to get a new camera (and stick with Canon). Is there a Canon for under $200 that uses the rechargeable battery?

Thanks in advance!

Angela

The SD990IS fits that requirement. But then again, with rechargeable AA LiOns and NiCads, you wouldn't have that problem either.

Actually, the 990IS will set you back about $300 currently. The SD880 will cost about $250, and then there are the slightly older models of elph series that will run below the $199 price point. All the Elph series (SDxxxIS) will use the rechargable Lithium-ion batteries that slip into a charger. The larger A series for Canon still use AA size batteries and flash recovery is slower and battery use is much shorter. Check out the SD880 for the smallish, nicely laid out controls, 3" LCD, and Digic4 processing for about $250 at Bestbuy or elsewhere. Here are some sample shots from the 880 and 990 I've taken:

True. But I wasn't saying they had AAs. I was making two separate statements. As for the 3" LCD of the SD880, in my view, that extra space on the LCD does is kill the batteries faster. I'd much rather have a viewfinder.

Just wanted to post that I ended up getting a Canon SD1100. It meets all my requirements and I love it. Thanks for the replies!
