Canon A60, The Perfect Paper Weight
( - 4/27/06)I have owned 5 Canon Digital Cameras. I purchased the Canon A60 in 2003. Within 6 months, the camera started malfunctioning, in the way of error codes, jammed aperture lens cover, blacked out / wavy lined LCD viewfinder. I need a camera, so I bought another A60. So I called Canon, sent the camera in and over a month later, I get it back. It worked great for 2 months, once again error codes, etc. I call Canon again, they say they will expedite the process, sent the camera in and over a month later, I get it back. It worked great for 2 months, once again error codes, etc, however now it is out of warranty! Thanks! Meanwhile the second camera is still working fine after a full year! One year and two weeks is when it started malfunctioning, in the way of blacked out / wavy lined LCD viewfinder. Thanks! So I buy a Canon A70, thinking that Canon might have learned from their mistakes. Nope! One year is when it started malfunctioning, in the way of error codes & blacked out / wavy lined LCD viewfinder. I still use it, I just whack it really good right before I need to use it! My 2 Canon A90s work just fine. Thanks Canon!
