Abnormal dots appear on the LCD

I'm from philippines and I had bad experience with my A60 canon camera. I bought the camera last november 2003 in japan, at first it was a good expirience using it. But after a few months I noticed some abnormality when I took some pictures, sometimes good and sometimes not so good. when I used the camera for a long time e.g. capturing images and reviewing it, the batterry gets hotter and I think that is normal but the abnormal side is that the next time I took some shots abnormal dots appears on the LCD.. Last november of this year, I power-on the camera and I saw the LCD filled white color and when I try to press the capture button the camera was still capturing but the image is purely black. I called up cannon marketing here in the philippines and they told to me that the problem was the CCD and they will replaced it for free and I hope i will get my camera very soon.
