Movie video quality

We're traveling to Italy and Greece this fall. Will this camera take movie video as well as a digital camcorder? I would like to edit the video but will be using the footage for personal uses only.

Yes, the camera does movies, but did you know that this A610 model and the A620 have been discontinued? They have been replaced by the A630 and A640.
