My A620 won't shut off and when I put the batteries in it comes on without touching the power button.

The camera did get wet about a month before this problem occurred. I have to take the batteries out to get it to shut down. The date and time need resetting each time it powers up

What I would recommend is to place the camera in a zip lock bag with a cup of uncooked rice. The rice will act as a dessicant and draw the excess moisture out of the camera. Hopefully, that'll solve your problem.

Thanks, I did this immediately after it got wet. I left it in a container of rice for a week. Everything worked after that. Now I have this new problem.

Well there may be some corrosion in there that's causing a short of sorts. Probably your best bet is to send it in for a repair estimate.

Another possibility would be to use it as it is since it does work. Put aside the money you would have spent on shipping to and from a repair shop, plus the estimated cost of the repair. Now you can start saving a little money each month and put with that bundle so that when this camera really does die, you will be prepared to go shopping for a new one.
