Differences between Canon A640 & Canon 650?

Canon A640 is being replaced by the Canon A650 - what improvements does the A650 have over the A640? Where there any significant problems with the A640?

Hi Ilene,

The major differences are as follows:

A650 IS has optical image stabilization, where the A640 did not.
A650 IS has a 12mp sensor to the A640's 10mp.
A650 IS offers ISO1600 as opposed to the A640's ISO800 max.
A650 IS has 6x optical zoom to the A640's 4x.
A650 IS offers a higher resolution LCD screen (173,000px vs. 115,000px).

hi A650 is the advanced version but still then the price os 650A is less compared to A640??Y is it so???

Is it true that A650 has live image only on its own display and not on a PC monitor? We know that in A640, it was possible to have live image in both ways.
