Excellent color & controls, BUT bad zoom design
(Jim Spickard - 6/29/06)This is a very fine camera, in everything EXCEPT build quality. Like many of the early Canon point-and-shoots, its zoom lens attracts grit. The seals don't seal out anything. I'd only had it a week, but had to return it for non-warranty repair. Canon excludes grit as "misuse". It think it's a design flaw.
Other than that, I appreciate the color, the ease of use, the big screen, and exposure-compensation button, etc. But I can't recommend buying one until Canon fixes the problem with seals.
