when taking pictures i cannot view my LCD

i have canon a70 powershot. while i swtich to camera mode my LCD is blank. i can see every thing else on the side of the LCD like the flash, auto and so on but not the present picture what i want to take. i have even try playing with the DISP mode. its all blank. i was wondering is this a problem that can be fixed or not? May be i have press some option that is doing this. please, it would be great if some one could help me with this.

Contact Canon, I have had the same issue. They will fix it for free, this has been a common issues. Here is the web link, they even send you a label and all for shipping. You may need to cut and paste this. Contact me if you has trouble.

my brother frm taiwan gave me a canon a70 w/out a manual i felt helpless on how to work it w/ my pc.pls help me!
