Batteries in the A710 dead overnight without much use. Is this a known problem?

I have tried Lithium batteries and other types and they drain very quickly without much use. Is there a known issue with batteries for the A710 discharging prematurely? Thanks.

I have heard of the syndrome in general, but not specifically to this model of camera. I assume you have tried rechargeable NiMH (nickel metal hydride) batteries?

Because standard AA batteries, even lithiums, have less wattage than the NiMH batteries.
