canon A710-IS is made in japan or it is made in USA ?? which one should be bought

I want to know that is this camera is made in USA and Japan as well, which one should be bought?

Hi Tahir,

I haven't been able to determine with absolute certainty, but I believe that all A710s are manufactured in Japan. Either way, I would assume that even if they were manufactured elsewhere, they would be of similar quality. Good luck!

The Canons are typically made in Japan or Taiwan. Some people believe there's a quality difference between cameras made in these two different countries. I say that the manufacturing process is tightly regulated (Canon has the money to do that, heh) and there really is not a difference. Some people may disagree with me, but honestly, I wouldn't worry about it at all.

it makes a big difference which country made it! personal experience proves that IT products which are made in japan has better performance and longer life than china made products!!

My A710 has a 'made in Japan' sticker on the bottom.

i got a camera made in china, model number is canon powershot a720 is.Is there any difference with camera which made in japan or china.or i should buy camera that camera which made in japan.pls suggest, i just got confused. i have already bought that .what should i do.
