Good All-Around Camera
(Sam Roach - 2/4/09)I find the Canon A720IS to be a very good small format camera. The still photos are very nice. With the optical 6x zoom, you can reach a wide range of subjects.
The movie mode is very good. I have compared this camera to several Standard Def camcorders and have found this camera to match the quality of those units. It is actually better in low-light settings than most of the true camcorders I have tested. With a 16gb SD card you can shoot 2 hrs worth of video (just keep each clip to 4gb or about 35 minutes).
The camera will teach you some patience as you wait for the flash to recycle, but maybe that's not such a bad thing.
Overall, I am very pleased
