The viewfinder show blurry of everything and of course the pictures taken were blurry too. What's possible reason? Thanks

The viewfinder show very blurry and dark images of everything. It seems not having a good focus. I didn't change anything before this happened. And for safe, I reset the setting to defaults. The pictures can be taken, but they are same as the viewfinder.

Ying,

You might have an issue with the auto focus. I would check your settings in the focus type to see if that is still on. If not, I would recommend contacting Canon customer support. Good luck.

Just for fun, since this camera has a manual focus option, try taking a picture with manual focus and see what you get.

Thanks for your replies. I have been put switch on "Auto". Right now, no matter in which position. It's same. I reset setting to machine default. It's still same. I tried manual focus, same.

Any more idea or suggestion? Thanks

Sounds to me like this one will need Canon customer support as referenced by Andrew above. Otherwise, try your local camera store for repair assistance. Good luck. Maybe it will be an easy fix. If not then you may be in the market for a new camera instead of putting more money into this one. Let us know how we can help you.
