This is not surprising. Chances are, you're running into a conflict. Most software that comes with a digital camera is essentially useless and largely unnecessary. If you've captured your images onto a media card pick yourself up a USB card reader. They sell for less than $15 and you can usually move over pictures from a variety of sources (SD, Compact Flash, etc.)

Additionally, if you right click on the camera icon in Windows and choose explore, you should be able to pull your pictures off with a simple drag and drop, if you have any in the camera's internal memory. Afterwhich, uninstall the software. It's useless. And if you're lucky, the drivers will still be on it and you can treat it as a drive. That's what happened to me and Kodak's Easy Share software. Total junk. And when I uninstalled the software, it left the camera drivers on the machine so I could just use it that way.

But I chose using a memory card reader instead. Good luck!

Another good idea is to head on over to Google and download PICASA 2. It's free and is an outstanding photo manager. It'll pick up those pictures and ask you if you want to copy them from your camera. Then you can alter them, burn them onto CD, the works.
