It's not so much the price of the parts anymore, it's the price of labor. Someone needs to take your camera apart, determine which parts are broken, remove them, put new parts in, close it back up after cleaning the insides, etc. It's laborious. It's similar to why laptop computers cost so much to repair -- if a harddrive costs $20 to make, why does it cost $150 to repair?!?!
The cost of the optical unit and PCB would have to be found from the manufacturer. I wouldn't advise trying to fix it yourself, unless you know someone very good at repairing cameras that can do this. Otherwise, you're just putting more money into something unusable.
But yeah, it seems ridiculous that a $100 camera will have $120 in repairs!
