The screen has stopped working!

I was using this camera in water (no deeper then it can go) when the screen suddenly stopped working (went black). However the camera still works and takes pictures. I charged the battery but this has made no difference at all. any ideas why it has stopped working.

Tips for troubleshooting when the LCD will not display anything.

Checking the Power Saving Function settings

The Power Saving Function of the camera may be in operation.

If you do not operate the camera for a certain time, the [LCD Monitor] and the power of the camera will turn off automatically.

Check to make sure the display has not been turned off by pressing the <DISP.> button.*

If images are not displayed on the LCD monitor or in the viewfinder even after you have performed the above procedures, your camera may be malfunctioning and may require service.
