2 1/2" LCD - afraid my poor vision requires 3 inch" plus?

This is the camera I like the most, but cannot see very well and am curious if a 3 inch LCD would be that much more helpful than a 2.5" LCD.

Ordinarily, I would say that the only thing a 3" LCD is good for is killing your battery. I much prefer the viewfinder. But when you have poor vision, a larger LCD is a plus. But understand that you may have trouble seeing out in bright ambient light and that's where the viewfinder comes in handy.

hate to be a jerk, but don't know what a viewfinder is or even what LCD stands for - just know that LCD shows what the scene is I am photographing. why would i need a viewfinder TOO? i guess i'm too old for all this ... wasn't even adept with my Brownie back in the fifties.

The viewfinder is the small window at the top which allows you to frame the photograph. The LCD can do the same thing, but it's the small monitor on the back of the camera. The downside is that in bright, ambient light, you can't really see all that well what you're taking a picture of. In that situation, a viewfinder is a plus.
