Just bought canon g10--how do you switch to black and white or sepia

Love amateur photography--just bought canon g10--not like my other cameras--beginning to think that I bit off more than I can chew--looks complicated--how to you swith from color to balck and white or sepia

Choices for Black and White or Sepia is hidden under menu item Mycolor.

You can access Mycolor by pressing Func button and using the directional button.

Do you REALLY want to do that? I would think it preferable to take a full-color photo, then use software to get you the B&W or sepia on the computer - a lot more flexibility that way, you could still print the color shot, or make other types of photos. If you let the camera do it, all you have is a B&W or sepia photo, you can't get any other part of the image back.

I usually set one of the Custom settings for Black and White. Take picture and then switch to regular setting for color shot.
