G10 vs. G7

I thought I had finally decided to buy the G10. But I just viewed the Imaging Resource Comparometer and found that the images from the G7 were consistently sharper, less mushy, and clearer. Even on the low ISO's. The G7 was significantly better. Am I imagining things?

Not really. Lower MP means the chip has more room for gathering light and is more sensitive to light. The more MP you stuff without enlarging the chip, the less sensitive to light a camera becomes. Although I have to say that the G10 has the new DIGIC IV processor and it's pretty popular a camera with DSLR users looking for a pocket backup. That would hold true for the G7 as well, of course.
