Hi..I have just bought a G10 (my G9 was stolen). Can i still use ZoomBrowser on the G10?

I have had to load the G10's programme on my pc which is DPP (digital photo professional). It seems the G10 will not download onto ZoomBrowser. does this mean I have to use these two programmes independently? All my G9 pics are stored on an Ext H. Drive and i view through Zoombrowser, but now, my G10 pics have to be downloaded on DPP and when I try to file certain pics in a category that already exists, it tells me i cant because those image numbers already exist! This I can understand coz obviously there may be two images with the same numbers - first shot with the G9, and now with the G10, but what does this mean? New categories for the G10? And what about my old categories...How can I best fuse my G9 pics with the G10 pics?? HELP!!

Very odd. I switched to a G10 from a SD990IS, and had no problems whatever with the original ImageBrowser software.

Are the images you recorded with your G9 in "RAW" format or JPEG? Both should work; at least Canon's site doesn't distinguish between the file formats.

One point: neither camera downloads into the browser software." There's a little program called "camera window" that handles the actual download. After the download is complete, the browser opens automatically to allow you to do whatever you like with the images. The camera window has an option as to which program it launches after the download: Image Browser or Digital Photo Professional.

I'd make sure that the browser is looking in the right place for your downloaded files. Check carefully to be sure it's not just selecting the "C" drive by default.

There is a setting in the camera that allows you to choose the numbers assigned to the file.
