LCD display icon and menu and can not display picture during the exposing ?

canon power shot g3 4.0 mp can not take picture but LCD display icons and
Menus after taken picture is black ?

Is there a button near the LCD marked Disp? If so, push it a few times. Sometimes the Display gets turned off and this might be your problem.
