I have taken my Best-ever pictures with a G6

This camera has impressed me very much, but I have also used it to it's limits & would like to move up to a longer zoom. It has picked up fantastic colours, depth of field control has been pretty good, and the rotating LCD has allowed me to get a few great shots that would not have been possible with a fixed LCD screen.
I use the remote control to view my days' shots all the time on our big screen TV - a sort of a super-slide-show complete with Zooming in & out, panning and skipping ahead fast. The biggest thing I dont like is only that it cant zoom in just a bit more to capture some shots I have been attempting. I cant really be too upset about it because its actually a better optical zoom than average (4x optical with a 4x digital) plus it can take a tele-converter anyway... which I may get someday soon. Some cameras do have a 10x or 12x optical but they also lack in other areas that the G6 excels in.
A good choice for the time being - without stepping into the world of SLR's !!
