Focus

This is quite a nice little package. Many before have mentioned all the good things. However, the focusing is inconsistent, especially at night and with close-ups. There are gaps using close-up and super close-up. It's doesn't matter how you fuss with it, you won't get certain distances in focus. You have to compensate by using the zoom. If you're shooting close-ups in dim light - that's the double whammy - best go get a double scotch before you start.

Shooting at night is really tough - there's little light for you to review previous shots, so you don't see how bad your shots are.
Canon could have made a great camera with an improved focusing system and a few beefier body parts.
