Excellent Camera

( - 12/6/04) After much research I decided on the Canon G6 to replace my old digital camera. I have been using the G6 for about 3 weeks and continue to be amazed at how well all of my pictures come out. The G6 performs much better than I expected, and I expected a lot. The details in macro mode as amazing. Shots in dim lighting also turn out great thanks to the AF assist beam - one of the reasons I opted for the G6 over the Pro 1. The hand grip has a pro feel to it, and overall the camera is made very well. The included wireless remote is a nice bonus included with the G6. The only drawback I have found with the G6 is the movie mode. Movies are a decent quality but it would be nice to record more than 30 seconds. This to me was a minor drawback, as I purchased the G6 for the picture quality. I highly recommend this camera to anyone who wants great pictures but doesn't want splurge for the digital SLR cameras.
