Is the G-10 a newer model of the G-9? Which is better?

hello- i own a G-9 and am very satisfied with it- THe newer G-10 has 2 more pixels, and a slightly wider angle capability,and some invisable "FIXINS" that Canon always adds to superceeded models - All in all , if you can buy a G-9 , which has been discontinued for a better price than the G-10, jump on it- The G -10 lost part of its long range capability to incorporate the wide angle increase at the other end. The G -9 is 6x optical magnification and the newer G-10 is only 5X - There are other little differances, but these are the salient ones.. They are both in identical bodies, which are like small bricks , but still pocketable,throwbacks to the RANGEFINDER ilk of film cameras. A sort of nice touch, because the G 9 ( and G 10 ) stands at vertical and horizonal positions (for self timer shots) like a rock.. all in all it beats the A -590 hands down, which is reasdily seen in comparing the specs and also my subjective opinion ..
