Will S1 IS take a Sandisk ultra II 2gb memory card ?

According to Sandisk web page it is compatible. However, Sandisk recommends you to check with the device manufacturer (Canon) about the memory size limit that your camera recognizes. Canon's toll free number is 1-800-828-4040

Yep it does....I just tried it out and took some photos and movies.... It worked just fine
