Is there another AC charger that you can use/adapt to charge the Canon Powershot S30 ?

I have bought a Canon S30 and there is no charger - i was told i could charge it from my laptop but that hasent worked. It seems impossible to buy one second hand on the net. I wonder if there is another model of ac charger that i could use to charge the battery which is dead dead dead - can you please help. I am really into recycling and hope that some good soul out there has a suggestion for me. I paid $125.00 for the camera in NZ dollars.

BTW, I noticed that you haven't marked any replies as the "best answer." Are you still looking for an answer?
