How can I get video streem from "canon powershot s3 is" in linux / ubuntu?

I know that it is possible in windows (see Cam4you utilities). So, how can I do this in my Linux?!

You'd have to find drivers for it. There may be some at Sourceforge. But I wouldn't hold my breath.

Just use digikam or fotospot - it uses it's own protocol, so turn it on also ) There u choose - import and camre model - that's it )

I am searching for VIDEO STREAM capturing and not just PTP (picture transfer protocol) support. digiKam, gtKam, etc. work with Powershot S3 IS in PTP mode ONLY, but Cam4you in windows get video stream from camera.
