( - 1/3/05) If size and portability are big factors, then look no further than the S500...for its size image quality is quite impressive, based on some of the enlargements that I have made. It may not have as many controls as I would like, but I have been very impressed and would not hesitate to recommend it to any traveler.....build quality for a camera of this type is 1st rate....
