HOW TO LOWER CYCLE TIME

IF ONE HAS A CANON SUPERSHOT S50 (OR ANY CAMERA FOR THAT MATTER), HOW DOES ONE LOWER THE CYCLE TIME...WHEN SHOOTING YOUNG BABIES WHO ARE NOT STANDING STILL?

ALSO, WHAT IS THE BEST CURRENT CAMERA (EXCLUDING D-SLR'S) THAT ACCOMPLISHES THIS?

Hi,

Are you talking about the recovery time between shots, or about the time it takes the camera to shoot after you press the shutter release (shutter lag)?

If you're talking about shutter lag, the best thing you can do to get a faster response time is to pre-focus by half-pressing the shutter release.

If you're talking about recovery time, there's not really much you can do about this except to shoot without flash. You can also use the S50's continuous drive mode, which will shoot pictures at a rate of 1.5 to 2.0fps (frames per second) for up to 8 shots, as long as you're holding down the shutter button.
