I am having focus problems i try holding the button 1/2 down but hardly get the green box

most of my pics are out of focus something else i need to adjust??

Reset the camera, update the firmware. When you focus, focus on the subject you want to be in focus. Put it right in the middle. Push 1/2 way down and then simply recompose the picture. The focus will be locked in. Also, be aware of the "rule of thirds," which will make much more interesting photos.

Any persisting problems and you may need to have it serviced.
