The Canon PowerShot S70 sports 7-megapixel resolution and a compact black body. Released on the heels of the 5-megapixel PowerShot S60, the S70 is basically identical to its predecessor with the notable exception of its 7-megapixel image sensor. With a compact body, sliding lens cover, and wide-angle 28-100mm lens, the S70 makes a great take-anywhere camera. Like the S60, the S70 features an underwater mode that will appeal to divers and snorkelers (waterproof case sold separately).
