How do I recharge the battery once its exhausted?

I've plugged the cable included with it into the USB port on my computer and to the camera according the store manager but it still isn't charging.

IF its like mine there is a separate battery charger included. It is a blue(ish) plastic rectangle with a folded in set of plugs. You put the battery into it and plug it into an outlet. When the red light comes on it is charging, whenthe light turns green the battery is charged. I am not sure that you can charge the battery in the camera.

This is most likely because you are hooked in to a USB 1.1 port and you have to hooked in to a USB 2.0 port which is power giving. Try all the different USB ports to find, usually the ones on the back of the computer at 2.0 as oppose to the ports on the keyboard.

Good Luck, hit us back up if that doesn't solve the problem you could have a defect cable, computer, or camera, but it is unlikely.

Robert P. is correct. Using the included hardware, your only option of charging the battery is with the supplied charger. It should take 1.5 hours to charge under normal conditions and again as mentioned by Robert, the light will display green on the charger when complete. It is advised that you do not keep the battery in the charger for more than 24 hours. I learned this information by reading some books that also came with the SD1000.

I tried every one of the USB 2.0 ports on my computer and none of them will recharge it. Oh well.

As it turned out, the camera did not include a recharger unit. The schematic in owners book didn't include it a picture of it so I didn't even know it existed until you all mentioned it. The store provided a new one.

Thank you!
