I need a Solutions disk for my camera that will download the Twain driver.

My eMachine with Windows XP does not recongnize my camera. No matter what I try, I continually get the error message: "Cannot detect camera. Check connections and retry." Exploring my current Solutions disk shows a Twain 6.7 driver, but it will not load up and the wizard says it is incompatible. I believe that I just need a compatible driver file. Canon support has not been much help. Any ideas? Michael S.

As you have found out, there is no Twain Driver for Win XP for this camera and the Twain Driver you have probably works with Win2000, hence the ' incompatible message ' appears.

However if your objective is to transfer the pictures from the camera to the computer, a card reader will do the job very well.
Win XP will recognize most card reader, and the contents of the card, as soon as it is plug to the USB port.

What you need to do next is to copy all the pictures to a folder in the computer.

Thank you very much for the information. I'll try that, since even putting the computer in WIN 2000 doesn't work.

To bukit97

could you help me too? ;) I have a problem with copying some files from camera to pc. Some video files with file size more than 400-500 Mb are copied with zero size and no errors displayed after that, but files of course doesn't work. Do you have any ideas or solutions for that? The SD card is 4 Gb and 2 my card readers does not recognize it.
