My camera will power on and nothing shows in screen will flash but nothing in screen?

Canon SD 100 my son bought it for me a few birthdays ago. Well I noticed because it stopped working the pictures would be red on led screen. Now nothing is showing on screen at all.

Since no replies I looked back at another question and not the same problem but the same """"CCD malfuntion so I got results from canon service advisory 1800-828 4040 The answer was from Ben Keough Thanks Ben!

Hey, no problem. This is a pretty common problem and should be a pretty quick/easy fix from the Canon service department.
