Suprisingly Not Good
(Ellie Johnson - 8/12/08)I had great hopes for this camera. It has two serious flaws for which I will return the camera to the store. First, on complete Auto mode, most pictures came out too dark. I had to lighten them up with computer software before printing. Secondly, action shots were not acceptable. One shot was in bright sunlight, where you would expect to get a "stop action" result, the moving part came out completely blurry. In another instance, taking a test shot indoors with both the complete Auto and with the "Kinds and Pets" setting, taking a picture of the cat walking, the legs were blurry. Sorry Canon, but my old cheap 4 MP camera did much better.
But, if these flaws do not bother you, then the good features are: 1 ) Picture quality was very good. 2) Exposure can be adjusted to compensate for the first flaw above on all but the complete "Auto" setting. 3) The small size means you can take the camera more places more often, so you will get pictures you might not otherwise get if you had to pack a big SLR type camera. 4 ) Movie mode is excellent. Good quality and the zoom works.
