More Than I Expected
(Eric C. - 8/31/08)I have only had this camera for about a week, but I had no idea how great it was. I'm not sure where the negative reviews are coming from. This camera has beautiful photographs and seemingly endless options to alter your photo right in the camera. Special features like stitch assist are great for putting together panoramic images. The best thing of all is how easy to learn and use this camera is. After only one day, I knew this camera. The only time I cracked the instruction manual was to find out about things I didn't know it could do, which was a lot. Another greatly helpful tool is that it stores all your settings with each photo so you can see exactly what you did to make it happen.
I have only found 2 negatives so far. First, it only has 3x Optical Zoom, but I knew that when I was buying it. It is extremely difficult to find a quality camera in this price range with more optical zoom. The second is that it does not use Raw file format. The only reason I suspected that it did was because Digital Camera HQ claimed that it did. After looking at Canon's website I found that it doesn't. I will miss that as an option, but with everything else this camera offers I can surely live with that.
