How do i turn the date stamp on?

I want to turn the date stamp on for my Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS but I can't find the option to do that anywhere on the camera. How do I turn it on?

As the digital file is marked by a date and time when it's saved, the use of a date stamp feature in digital cameras has lost popularity amongst camera manufacturers as a feature. Sorry, but the postcard feature may be the best you can do unless you're willing to add the date/time after the fact.

Postcard mode involves two steps in the setting. Step one selects the postcard mode :
Function > Recording Pixels > Post card

Step two sets the date to on/off :
Record Menu > Date off/on.

Date stamp is set to off by default and there is no way to remove the date once it is stamped on the picture.

While in camera mode press Function (Func. Set)
Press down twice to get to the resolution menu (bottom of list)
Scroll right till you get to 2M Date Stamp (symbolized by a clock)
