how do i turn on the date stamp step by step for a canon sd1100is

i have read all the post on here about it and it talks about post card mode???? i have no idea what that is an would like step by step instructions from the time i turn the camera on, on how to get the date stamp on my pics.....thanks

It should be in post card mode. The date stamp function remains the same as other Canon Models and is only available in Post card mode.

It involves two steps in the setting. Step one selects the postcard mode :
Function > Recording Pixels > Post card

Step two sets the date to on/off :
Record Menu > Date off/on.

Date stamp is set to off by default and there is no way to remove the date once it is stamped on the picture.
