Perfect Fun With Friends & Family Camera

( - 12/9/04) takes amazing pictures. My only problem is that the G2 is fairly large and I always feel like a tourist - wearing it around my neck or across my shoulder is a must since the camera is big and hefty by today's standards. I decided on the SD20 because I thought it was the perfect marriage between form and function. After receiving my SD20 I'm convinced! It's a beautiful little camera, very classy, very small, and a definite conversation starter. But aside from its good looks, a powerful 5 megapixel camera is packed into that tiny little casing. I've taken several pictures in various lighting, indoor and out; tried still and motion shots; changed settings from auto to manual and dabbled with every menu and submenu to see how I could ruin a shot... I couldn't! The SD20 took amazing photos even with my "tweaking". What amazed me most is the photo quality and the camera's ability to stabilize a shot even when there is a great deal of movement (hand and image). I'm happy with my choice in the SD20, very happy. It may not be the perfect camera for someone seeking a first digital camera (no optical view or zoom, only screen view) but for me it works like a charm and I can now travel light! Best to invest in a second battery and a larger SD card. The battery charger is highly portable and plugs directly into an outlet with its flip up prongs (no wires!). This allows you to keep your spare charging while taking pics. I also purchased a 1G SD card so that I have plenty room for video, and high quality photos.
