LCD broke twice
( - 4/21/06)My SD300's LCD first broke after 6 months. After use, I put it away on a shelf for safe keeping, but it failed upon next power up with a pink/black screen. Canon did repair under the warranty, but it failed again 7 months later. The second failure mirrored the first. Was working when put away in a locked cabinet, and failed during power up. This is a very common problem with Canon SD models, and Canon wants 170.00 to repair. They must make a fortune on repair charges.
