So small, so simple to use
( - 7/21/05)I would rate the SD300 (for some reason sold in the UK as IXUS-40) excellent in every way, except that the LCD screen broke after only three months use. The break was not caused by maltreatment. I had the camera on my desk overnight whilst I charged the battery, and when I had replaced it, the LCD was cracked though the backlight worked fine. I returned it to the supplier (Digital Depot Cameras) and they had it repaired under warranty. No charge - but a bit worrying in case it happens again in another few months.
Otherwise the camera is superb; extremely compact, great quality photos, and a very simple intuitive menu system.
