Broken LCD Screen/ Great Camera

( - 4/21/06)

My wife had the camera in her purse one day, and without dropping it, the LCD screen was broken. I have read above that one user got rejected from getting it fixed, another without problems when the camera was under warranty. We had problems with an earlier model and they fixed it while it was under warranty. One tip- If you choose not to use a cover for the screen (we haven't), don't carry anything else in your pocket. There was an imprint of a quarter on the screen after use one week after we started using it. It is a spectacular camera by the way. Agree with the 16mb card.. not helpful at all. A tease. I like the feature of hearing the audio when playing back video from the camera. Previous cameras we were unable to do so. I am not so bothered by the battery life indicator issue because I always generally have an idea when it is low. It does seem easy enough for the maker to just put it on there since it has almost every other feature, however.
