Dropped camera

Dropped camera,when I turn it on,the screen turns blue and on the botton left hand corner,it says,E18.Then camera shuts off,but the lens does not go back in.

The problem usually occurs when the camera is dropped and the lens cannot come out properly anymore. There are several sites devoted to this problem, and should be fixed if you follow their tips.

Have you solved the problem?

I also got the same error yesterday.
And I think the only chance to fix it is to open it.
And yes, I did opened it and I stopped when I don't know how to untangled the plugs they call or the brown thingy connected to the board.

How did you fix it?
