Can you trigger the shutter from a computer or external switching devise. (clock, motion detector, computer, etc>

Russ,

I went through the user manual and it had nothing about external shutter release sources. I also have an older SD230 (similar to this camera) and it does not have those options either. You are probably better off with a dSLR camera with a cable release connection instead. Good luck.

Thank you for the review. My pooblem is that I am away from home, but recall that my Canon printer manual refers to remote shooting by an SD 450. I will have to wait until I am home for Christmas to find the reference.
