why can't I turn on my sd450 ... nothing happens?

I used the camera Monday night and it worked fine. I pressed the on/off button last night (24 hours after use) and nothing happened.
I recharged the battery last night and installed it this morning and nothing chnged.

I know this sounds simple but I think it might be broken. Was it dropped or left in extremely weather ? Have you tried new batts?

It has not been dropped or in extreme weather ... not that cold in Wisconsin yet! The camera (and battery) are only 3 months old, is that as long as batteries last?
