Canon PowerShot SD500 Details
Editors' Comments
The Canon PowerShot SD500 brings 7-megapixel resolution to Canon's wildly popular ELPH series of ultra compact digital cameras. Small enough to fit in a pocket, yet sporting enough resolution to create poster size prints with ease, the Canon SD500 packs a great deal of photographic punch into a tiny body. Whether or not the average photographer needs this punch is another matter—if you're not going to be printing images larger than 8x10, or you don't anticipate cropping your pictures extensively on a computer, then you're better off saving money and getting a lower-resolution ELPH. If poster-size prints are your thing, however, the SD500 will deliver the resolution you need.
