good for all purpose

(Eric Krever - 3/12/07)

The camera took about a week of use to get all the options set for myself with the understanding necessary. The wider angle lens also needs some thinking in that portraits will come out distorted somewhat (and depending on how close your subject is) unless you zoom in a bit, which will correct the distortion.
I've used it in nighttime shots with and without flash for snapshots and I've used it almost daily in my work (on and off tripod, with and without flash). The stabilization is set on always on my camera so I can't say what the difference may be without it. The only problem I've encountered is a crash (no buttons work) when I fumble to change settings while it's showing me my last shot on screen. To fix this I just turn it off the on again.
I love the camera for its ruggedness, clarity and ease of use. It's always in my pocket with a fresh battery.
